Registry of Biodiversity Institutions and Collections
The Registry of Biodiversity Institutions, Collections and Databases is a catalog of Spanish natural history collections and biodiversity databases -sharing or not their data in GBIF.ES-, and the institutions they are associated. The information contained in the Collection Registry is public, structured in sheets and updated by the GBIF.ES Coordination Unit.
Environmental Administrations (ES)
This section is dedicated to regional governments' authorities that deal with biodiversity information for decision making or for providing a public service. Just available in Spanish.
Citizen Science
GBIF.ES manages Natusfera, the Spanish node of iNaturalist, the world's leading social network on biodiversity. This platform brings together scientists, enthusiasts and nature lovers who record observations of living organisms, providing the public and the scientific community with detailed and geolocated information on various species.
