Description
This collection was donated by Dr Antonio Pérez Onteniente in May of 2000. It includes a total of 4288 specimens belonging to 34 species that constitute the basis of his Ph D Thesis entitled: "Earthworms from the Valencian Community. Faunistics, Ecology and Parasitology". The samples have been collected in 98 different localities of the Valencian Community and neighbouring provinces.This collection stores type specimens of three species: Nicodrilus carochensis, Nicodrilus monticola and Nicodrilus tetramammalis. At the present, the samples are in process of change of preservative liquid, reordering and disposition in appropriate recipients to be able in a future to expose in the Museum a representation of this collection.Overall information
