Description
It is a collection of alive species mainly from the Macaronesic area formed from specimens of wild origin. The collecting of plants began in 1953 for the founder of the Garden D. Eric. R. Sventenius that collected specimens of all the Canary Islands. The collection is increased and restoring thaks to the work of the biologists of the Garden and for the exchange through the Index Seminum. A section of cactus and succulent plants, a section of palms and another of ornamental plants with educational aim also integrate the collection.Overall information
